Extended Driving Test Service

What to Expect:

Your session will begin with a warm-up drive of approximately 1 hour before the test. During this time, your instructor will review any areas that may require additional attention based on your previous lessons, assessments, or recent driving performance. This may include manoeuvres, junctions, independent driving, or any other topics considered beneficial before the test.

You will then travel to the test centre, arriving in good time for your appointment. At the test centre, you will meet the DVSA examiner and complete your extended driving test. Once the test has finished, you will return to the test centre to receive your result and feedback from the examiner.

This service includes the use of the instructor’s vehicle for both the preparation session and the driving test itself.

 

Using our vehicle for the test ?

To accompany drivers to their driving test, we require them to consistently demonstrate safe driving without serious or dangerous faults.

 

Booking The Test

Under current DVSA guidelines, pupils are responsible for booking their own driving test.

Before booking your test, please contact us to check which days and times are most suitable for your driving instructor. This helps reduce the risk of booking a test that we cannot accommodate due to instructor availability.

If you require an Extended Driving Test, this must be arranged directly with the DVSA, as these tests cannot be booked through our service.

We recommend booking your test at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance and notifying us as soon as your test has been secured. This gives us the best opportunity to reserve the required time in the instructor’s diary and confirm vehicle availability.

Test bookings made with less than 3 weeks’ notice may be subject to limited availability. In some cases, additional charges may apply if special arrangements are required to accommodate the booking.

Once your test has been booked, please provide the test date, time, and test centre details so we can confirm availability and make the necessary arrangements.

 

Payment Terms and Condition

For a single lessons, you must make the full payment no later than 2 days before the scheduled lesson; additionally, if you are enrolling in a driving course comprising 4 or more hours, then you will need to provide a deposit of £100 to secure the course. You should then settle the remaining balance at least 7 days before the course start date. Payments to En Route Driving Ltd are done by bank transfer.
